Hanan Hall - Lead Vocals
Active ImageMusic & Art, Art and Music. Hanan knew she would be a professional musician & jewelry artist when she grew up, feeling like she was an "old soul", they were her passions since she was 5 years old.

Active ImageBuying every record & bead she could with her allowance, her taste ran from Brazilian Jazz to Rock to Country & Blues. In love with every sound she heard, she remembers trying to emulate Jim Morrison's voice in her garage on a mock-up stage at the age of seven, until someone pointed out that even
though she could hit those rich, ultra-low notes ..."C'mon baby light my fire"….she's still a girl.

Active ImageSo… onto Janis Joplin, "Wow….that chick could split her voice into two" and Hanan wanted to achieve that too. She started taking guitar lessons at the age of 12, then Oboe in high school orchestra. Chomping at the bit, by the age of 17, nothing could stop her. She just had to get out there on the pro scene. By the age of 19 she was songwriting and taking bass guitar lessons. Even though her parents put up a mild protest she was determined to show them how serious she was about her music.

Never getting caught up in the sex & drug scene, she treated her rock & roll profession like a business from the get-go. By the age of 21 she was traveling across the United States and Caribbean Islands for almost a decade with several National Top-40 Touring bands, including "The Julie Grant Show, Crystal Vision, Excalibur, Ricochet, Daily Planet, Perfect Stranger, etc". Her favorite gig was the cruise ship runs out of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale for 5 years. "Can you imagine getting paid while romping around all day long on the beaches, pools, islands, eating gourmet meals and then in the evening doing what you love to do most in the world?"

Active ImageShe never thought she would ever be "land-locked" again, but the Midwest pulled her back for a few years working with original and cover bands, selling her jewelry creations in her own shop at the Renaissance Fair in Bristol, Wisconsin before moving to San Diego for 7 years and opening her retail jewelry boutique. While in California she collaborated with other musicians on original music projects.

Too numerous to mention, her influences (besides the incomparable Janis) include Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Big Head Todd, Freddie Jones Band, Sade, The Pretenders, Melissa Etheridge, The Stones, and the list goes on "ad nauseum to the tenth power!" Coming back once again to the Midwest and opening her shop in Dundee, Illinois and now Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (Romantica Jewelry) she has teamed up with a few more original & cover bands, was the founding member of a Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band called "The Chain" until recently being recruited by Art Miller of Backyard in the Spring of 2006.

All other projects were put on the back-burner while learning their originals and falling in love with their unique sound and unforgettable melodies. She is once again a "gonner"!!!!! She says, "Music is a world of its own and I love living there….and with all my experience I may be a 'has-been' that 'never-was'     but I'm still having a blast!!!!"
