Regarding the song "Mercy" from "American Dream": this is a great rock song in the Classic Rock sense. It has a little of that "wall of sound" style to the arrangement and a great strong chorus.

Great melodies in both the verse and chorus, with a well written structure and good arrangement. Communicates emotion to the listener, nice performance and good writing.
